Oh and, I'm wondering if when doing the instal that the CV's got out of wack somehow. It was all taken apart and just hanging there. Although we tried to be careful I know that can be damaged.

:( Sounds to me like you may have ruined a CV. Lift the front end and spin the tire, if it's the cv you'll be able to feel it "pop", and it'll give a little resistance where its binding.

Messed up CV could also explain that vibe you feel in the steering wheel.

What kind of on-road ride can be expected with the newer OME 60091 rear Sport Nitrochargers compared to the standard N182s?

"valved for a more responsive and sport oriented ride"

Stiffer and not as forgiving on piss-poor roads?

I cheaped out on the shocks, dunno. Figured I'd let them go until they fail and replace with some Fox, Billies, or the nitrochargers.

Alright real quick, got around to finally loading my quad in my truck to see how the dakars would handle the 700 lbs. I would say no problem at all, rode great, handled great. it sagged about 2 inches from unloaded to loaded but I still have like 7-8 inches before im hitting bump stops. My ONLY worry would be bottoming out the extended travel 5100's, if that is even possible. but hey we will see.

Are you saying that this is common, or are you asking if the sound is a clank?

I only ask, because I'm experiencing this as well.

Not really , you will basically end up with factory rake but approx 2" higher with the 884 / 1.5" AAL set up

hey guys, I'm about to pull the trigger on a complete OME lift with Dakars and 885 (I'm a double cab short bed.) I will also be buying some light racing UCAs as well. My question is, should I order from Wheelers off road? Or should I order from Toytec?

kit from wheelers off road includes the nitro charger shocks, 885 springs (no specification if they are the "x" series) trim packer, dakars with bushings and u-bolts, as well as a carrier bearing drop.

toytec includes everything but the carrier bearing drop. Also is the top plate spacer from toytec the same thing as a trim packer like what wheelers offers?

i've done my research for probably 2 years or so deciding on what kit to go with for my truck and its come down to OME being the best for me. I do treat my truck like a truck and tend to beat on it quite a bit but cant quite afford nor do i need true coilovers like Icon, fox, or kings.

The OME trim packer only works with OME shocks and goes beneath the coil on the coil seat , the top plate spacers go on top of the coil / shock assembly

ah gotcha, but they serve the same purpose though right? all I'm trying to do is avoid the infamous taco lean. though from my research it seems as though the trim packer would best fit my needs to avoid the taco lean right?

I'd call to make sure. I didn't even know they had improved the springs until OZ mentioned it.
