I am considering selling my '11 DCSB TRD Off Road. I have been thinking about getting a Mustang GT convertible and then buying an older truck(I NEED a truck). I feel half crazy because I LOVE my Taco and just put the Billies up front, got the rear TSB done and then got the FJ Trail Teams and BFG A/Ts.

I want one nice vehicle and I've always wanted a Mustang so I am thinking about doing this. Keeping the Mustang nice like I do my Taco then get an older truck(Taco preferrably but damn they hold their value!!)

33,xxx miles so still some factory warranty left.

Also complete Alpine stereo including 300watt amp(can't think of model # right now) with R series speakers in front doors and next level down speakers in the rear doors. Sound deadened front and rear doors and sound barrier in front doors. Bluetooth as well.

Only picture I have right now. If I do this obviously I will take more pics.

I am thinking 27K minimum and maybe up to 31 or 32K....what say you??

Nice ride fo' sho'.... Depending upon what KBB says, people may have a tough time getting a loan for anything above that value...but you never know.

You could always start high to get a feel for the market...and you can come down in price easier than going up after the fact.

    this and that...
nice looking truck but its going to be hard to get that for your truck when you can buy a brand new trd off road for that price. i would put the stock rims and tires back on and try for 27. 32 is just way too much for that small amount of mods with that much mileage. but then again, maybe you just might find that person willing to pay that. glws!

I told them I would not pay one penny more than 28K and to work it out for themselves. The truck ended up being 25,451.90 + 699 dealer fee + 149.95 Electronic Registration Fee + 1,578.05 (6% tax) + 37.50 (county tax) + 83.60 for title fee = 28000.00. I just happen to have the slip in my back pack lol.

Edit: I already had a tag that I transferred on to it.

I hear what you're saying but I'm basing my price on what I see similar ones listed for. Figuring the wheels and tires bring it up a little. That's mainly why I'm asking here. Prices for used seem a little high but that's what I'm seeing.

Ultimately it is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it.

Put it back to stock, sell it, and the parts, and you should more out of it.

I don't take it as you being an ass at all. That's the kind of info I am looking for. For number 2 I am holding you to that for when I go for a Mustang. Hahaha

Honestly I'd feel someone would be more inclined to pay your price leaving the FJ wheels and audio stuff in. Think about it: someone goes to a dealership, sees they can have a brand new 2013, TRD, double-cab, with touch screen for maybe 32-33k out the door, with easier financing, so why the hell buy a 2011 with 40k on it for relatively a few thousand difference which is somewhat null in the long run? They'd buy yours because it has mild addons, and that's the market you'd be most beneficial to get! But then again I haven't been monitoring used Taco sales so I'm probably way off. But thats how I'd see it if I was in the market.

The smart money is on keeping the Taco and getting an older classic stang and restoring it. The stang goes up in value if you get a classic.

FWIW, I was checking out a White 2011 DCSB TRD 4x4, low miles, at a dealership week or so ago. Priced at $25,xxx. It had been there for a few weeks too, and again, that's at a dealership. Private party usually pulls less. There's a lot more used tacomas out there then before, so supply and demand isn't exactly what it used to be. Bluebook is way to high on these things.
If it was a 2012 with the new grill, then you might be in the high 20s, but with the old grill (I know, not much difference) you're going to be around the mid 20s.
At 3 years old, 30k miles, warranty end coming up, and priced at 27k. Too easy for someone to justify in their head to spring the few extra thousand for new and piece of mind.

Beautiful truck though. I'd leave the truck as is, will help make the difference in the decision of someone looking at two trucks.

Frankly you are way more likely to find a cheap couple year old mustang and keep the taco!
