I agree needs paint! A least sand it down and prime it.

I'm going to get it sandblasted unless it is stupid expensive. Then A lot of time with a flapper wheel and a grinder...
No it isn't that much travel. I don't know what full stuff is. Couldn't find a good/safe way to stuff the rear. The first pic is full droop with the shock in. 2nd pic is with the shock unbolted. 28.25" to 29.75" so my shocks are limiting my droop by 1.5"...

you'd have to take apart your leaf pack to get full travel numbers

Honestly I'm not too concerned with droop. It's up travel that I need! Wonder if I could sneak the DMZ kit onto my rig without the wife noticing:devil: haha Also the inverted shackle like the 2nd gen has is supposed to be better for up travel I guess. Mark was asking about that in the LT thread so a lot of the LT kits run inverted shackles.

Really i thought LT guys where allllll about the big droop. So that when you catch air your rear axle hits the ground ASAP and the shocks can start dampening ASAP as well..

I mean yea you still want up travel..but i though droop was still more important..

I believe the reverse shackle is better for up travel. Makes sense with the geometery of it..

Well ideally lots of both is good:D haha And depends on what you do. If you race through the desert uptravel is probably more important since you see whoops and such more and don't catch air as much. If you spend your time jumping then lots of down travel would be nice I'm sure.

I just checked out the part number and my rear 5100's are for 0-1.5" of lift. haha Definitely too short.

You guys have any good ideas for stuffing the rear so I can try to measure how much I can get my bumps to compress? Was going to try a ratchet strap but the strap was retarded or some shit and I couldn't move the handle once it got strap got tight. Probably needed a stronger ratchet strap anyway. haha
The only other way I can think of it to try to out as much weight in the bed as I can get and then use a car lift to raise the rear tire. Not sure what I would use for weight though and/or if Konsta or Brant could do it with the lift.

take apart the leaf pack to the main leaf then compress

Well that sounds like a pain in the ass, plus it wouldn't exactly tell me how far my bumps compress since they would be lowered if I did that.

Go to like a loading ramp in the back of a big store. Just back up the ramp rails. Usually big ass concert ones. Several people do that to measure for shocks.

nope won't help. A) the leaf would be more flexible so wouldnt tell him what the full pack would do. And like brady said, it make the leafs thin makeing the bump stop not work till later.

He was talking to me about CV binding...

I don't have freetime during Moab... I will be stuck on an Army base for 2-3 weeks during the Moab meet...

RTI would be easier to pull off. I know of a ramp back behind US Bank on Yellowstone, but I might get funny looks haha.

the main leaf at least gives you an idea

but I didn't think about the compression of the bump stop.
just thinking about when jason cycles his POS

Psshh!! who need extended length coilovers when you have a gnarly cantilever type system running like 30" travel shocks. haha
