Anybody know the thread size/pitch for the 05+ 5-speed shift knob?

    Is it 12mm x 1.25 or 12mm x .25?

    Thanks!

Step bars, billet grill with custom TOYOTA, MB Quart RSI 216 components, Hifonics ZXi 4410, RAAMmat deadened doors/back wall/roof covered with ensolite , 24" Magnaflow muffler, hand polished stock exhaust tip, tinted, OEM TRD Bilstiens all around with 1/4" spacers up front to level it out. Sport wheels added.
If you have a fastner place nearby, you can just take the knob in and have them check the thread size. Might be possible to also check it at home depot or lowes in their hardware section. They have a sizer just for that purpose. Not sure if theirs goes up large enough though.

if not, the just take the shifter knob in with u, & start trying bolts in it! get the size from then bolt, hope that helps a bit.

    It should be 12mm X 1.25 (aka '12mm Fine').

That's the threading Toyota has used for a long time on most (if not all ...) manual models ...

Should be 12mm x 1.25. I checked for a new shift knob and this was the spec for my 09. I assuming that they have not changed since then

It is 12mm x 1.25. I cleaned the threads on the shifter with steel wool and was able to screw on the new knob.

Thanks! I eventually figured it out. I ordered a few different shift knobs and tried them till one fit.

Nice! I went with a Ford Racing Bullitt Shift knob.
