ATV/UTV BS.

You just have to be watchful of them, depending on the breed, most dogs love to run and chase the wheelers for exercise. My girl knows how to ride with me so whenever she gets tired I let her hop on and tag along for a bit. Most places I go have water running everywhere so there is no shortage of places for her to get drinks and cool off. I never had to teach her to ride, she was a natural luckily. Think a lot of it has to do with trust, she knows that I'd never allow her to be hurt, but I doubt she would ride with anyone else if they tried unless she knew them really well and trusted them.

 

Anyone built snorkels for their quads? I'm doing a major service this weekend and was thinking about building some while I'v got the whole thing apart.

 

I did my buddies brute force and I extended mine on my can am xmr

 

Did you do yours all out of pvc? The cvt exhaust on mine comes out in a real tight spot so I was thinking of using some 2'' braided hose line.

 

Pvc and rubber clamp style fittings...the ones that go from like 4" to 2" do well on the cvt

 

Is there any reason someone couldn't just run a hose straight from the intake and exhaust ports instead of building it all with pvc? I found a 2'' piece of pvc fits in there perfect so I was thinking of just using a 2'' to 1.5'' reducer with a hose attached onto that

 

So i got my ATV back from the shop after rolling the god damn thing 8 times and it hit 2 trees. The friend that convinced me to do that hill climb, also convinced me to do this next hill climb haha. (hope the link works)

How do the 300EX compare to the 400EX? Ive had the 400 and rode buddies 400's but never rode the 300? Im in the market (maybe) for a wheeler. Looking for a clean 05+ 400EX or maybe a 2wd honda rancher. Found 2 300EX in good shape but thinking I'll be unhappy in the size power dept if I went with one..

From what I hear, they are pretty slow, are more of a starter or chick quad I guess. I could never ride one simply because I am too big and would look ridiculous on something that little. I am sure though with mods you can wake that little powerplant up.

 

My cousin had a 300ex. That thing was a turd. Ill sell you my 450

I rode a 450R but something was wrong it wasnt too great...now the 660r and 700r are beasts but more than I can handle really (I have experience riding ATVS but relatively new to mucho power)..400EX should fit my bill

 

Hows it goin fellas, new guy here, this is my first new Toyota, got the truck yesterday, already been busy with custom fabrications, made this thing to hold the quad so i dont have to use a buncha tiedowns. will still have one for security tho. but this is made of 2" box tubing, reinforced, attaches to hitch.

 

another reason i love my sport atv, it just gets thrown into the truck, ebrake on, tail gate up, no tie downs for short trips

 

Sold the 450 this morning... Kinda sad. Got money for truck mods though!!

 

Look out for Suzuki LT-Z400's as well. I have an 09, and with minor mods the think flat out rips! Almost as fast as a 450, but with less maintanence, and it has lower gearing and reverse. I race cut my fenders over the weekend, and it looks mean as Hell!

I’d go with the ’08.

also i’m thinking it may have custom plastics.(edit; also looks like the frame was painted. yamaha frames are usually black, silver or blue. have never seen a red frame.) also something els i see is the guy selling the ’07 could not even take the time to wash it before he took some pic. the ’08 looks cleaner, and also with that may have been taken better care of more. not saying the guy with the ’07 did not take care of it, but IMHO not cleaning it up to sell is lazy, and shows that maybe you don’t/did not care about taking good care of it.

 

are the rezi shocks really worth $1,000 bucks though? cause thats the only real difference between the two in stock form.
