Went there couple of times when I had my quad and bike but since I sold them all no more dunes. It's a far as drive also hahah.

 

Has anyone put some paddles on a second gen out there? I wonder if our transmissions/dinky rear ends can take it.

 

Pismo and GLamis are about the same.

You would have to have at least a supercharger to push those tires effectively.

First time I rode a quad was in dumont, got stuck in a bowl for an hr until a friend happened to find me and showed me the correct way to get out, great learning experience

Had a friend bike seize his bike in glamis near Olds lets say that was not a fun experience

 

Pismo is right along the ocean, so it has that going for it. Dunes seem more fun on a quad or on foot. Or w/ LT. RJ'S Adventure Tours (yes, you) was fun. WTF is a paddle for the truck? And can you rent quads near Dumont?

Paddles for the truck and no there is no rental place's near Dumont. THe closest places is Bake, but they dont rent their. So my guess is you have to rent in vegas or before get their.

 

they will if you air down to like 12-15 psi.

 

I air down to 10psi in sand.

i honestly dont think our engine/tranny can hold the torque it needs to run paddles...
but if youre supercharged i think it can...but the rear diffs...idk. thats a 50/50

just do a 4.7 swap

 

I miss riding, all those thanksgiving and random trips, especially dumont that one crusing area, the girls ;-)
