Just installed them today. I managed to talk wet okole into giving me the back pockets free instead of another console cover or cleaning kit. They look good, but am not completely sold on them yet. The headrest just seem so damn loose (and I didn't like the console cover).

yea, the wrinkles will go away in less than a week. you *may* want to go thru and retighten them if they are loose, mine fit like freakin tailor-made gloves.

 

How tight are you supposed to be pulling these straps anyways? Its mainly the headrest covers that are the most dissapointing to me, loose and baggy as hell on all of them, mainly to the sides of the headrest.

 

Damn those are very nice, Im goin to have to get a set now.

 

well you can tighten the straps as much as you want really - obviously there's a point that's too much, just look at the fabric and estimate if it's torquing on the fabric too much or not. these are pretty resilient, although i'm surprised the straps themselves feel weak. they hold the weight tho.

as far as the headrests - i guess i didn't really care about how tight the fitment was on these, and they aren't so critical at being tight. so long as they look ok, that's fine with me. did you velcro the bottoms of the headrests in snugly? i wouldn't say i'm dissatisfied with the fitment of the headrests, but on the same token i'd say they're not as tight as the covers themselves.

the biggest complaint i have about these covers are they don't breathe - but i'm sure that's a side effect of the water-proofness. i just wish they breathed a little - i sweat quite a bit, and it's only gotten up to 75 here at best and my back has gotten sweaty already. not impressed there, they claimed their seat covers stayed cool - i didn't think it was possible, and it's really not. granted, they won't scald you like the black leather on my maxima, but the stock seats i had in this truck breathed really well. so i kinda lost functionality there. oh well, they'll protect the seats nicely, that's for sure! i don't know if i'd buy these again, they're really nice - but not $250 nice.

please keep in mind this post is IMHO, and i'm a cheap bastard. i'm surprised i bought these seats at all, and for the most part i'm satisfied. just a little disappointed that i'll probably be sweating in these seats MORE than the OEM TRD ones.

 

Wow I definitely love your truck! Those sliders are amazing and now that you did the BHLM it adds a lot. Keep it up!

It's a hundred freaking degrees here right now so its taking them a while to dry so I can mount them. Don't worry, the photos will be up by the end of the night, and hopefully worth the wait.
