Ask anyone in the NE BS thread. I'm a hard working kid with a dying father, and I do damn good business on my own. My gauges, records, and more have made me very successful. I'd hate for this to be a contributing factor to my downfall

I think it is pretty clear where the blame is for this.

If I were him i would be giving some good reasons why this has turned into a cluster-f, giving the people involved a 15%-20% discount and overnighting their lights out ASAP. I would rather lose a little money doing that than having PayPal and credit card companies crawling my backside.

 

No offense to you but it's a good learning experience for everyone. Make sure you know who you are getting in bed with.

 

Well fuck me. I just spent the last 90 minutes reading through this and the previous locked thread. I have been so out of touch and busy, I had a "oh shit I bought some stuff the other month and haven't gotten it" moment and decided to check WTF was going on with these lights. I am pretty pissed to see all that has transpired. Being a small business owner myself, and handling many 'special orders' for customers, I'd be downright EMBARASSED if I was Troy right now.

I will be initiating contact for a refund tomorrow. I didn't use Paypal, I called him and gave him my card # directly. Hope that doesn't end up fucking me. :/

 

I can't be more happy I got out of this when I did, you guys looking for refunds be prepared for more run arounds. Took a week for him to respond to my initial request for a refund, and never even responded to my PayPal dispute until the day he filed my refund. Took almost 3 weeks just to get a damn refund. I will definitely not be doing any business with Troy or trek again and I can only hope future buyers will find these threads and be warned.

 

He doesn't even have the balls to post anything or keep us informed, just lip service with no results...
Just filed a claim thru Paypal, I DUN, I guess we'll see what happens...

Glad I didn't run the T4R.org one... I'm a moderator there (along with momo) and I get a fair amount of my business through word of mouth. Wouldn't want my brethren to smite me

 

Well fuck, I was sweating balls all day because I had nothing else to worry about all day. I'm glad I'm not the only one freaking out. I paid with visa and I made a complaint with a different company a year ago. They told me I had 90days to make a claim

 

I had paid with a card too. He will have to give you a refund through paypal though. I had to wait for mine. I didn't understand at first why I had to wait for his funds to go to paypal then he could refund me. I guess his CC system went through paypal.

 

Troy, i emailed and called you to let you know i put in a dispute against the charge of $470 on February the 7th for three lights i have yet to receive. Just covering my bases to let you know not to bother dropping off the package and that you should get a refund from ups for my shipment.

 

Does anyone know what the time limit is to receive a refund through PayPal?

The woman just told me that some people stall you on giving a refund until its too late for you to get a chargeback.....

I'm about done with this. Not sure what to do. My 45 days for PayPal was up at the beginning of April. However I did use my visa debit card through PayPal. It's just bull shit all communication has been lost. Even over on ih8mud, those guys are beginning to get fiesty. I'll give it a day or so to see of Troy decides to respond with anything. Otherwise I'm out.

 

had my tracking number for 4 days with no updates. i cant do this any longer.

 

I've had it I'm out, I have no tracking number, there's been no up dates even though he's been online last night. Hopefully I can get my money back.

 

Well I guess I'm not out cause now its too late to open a dispute with PayPal, could on file a report,I guess I just have to wait longer to see if I ever get my lights. Hope I do, don't wanna be out the money I spent
