Funny thing is I didn't realize how much I really enjoyed living in Iowa until I moved to Kansas.

I've never really enjoyed living in Iowa as much as Minnesota. It seems like there's more to do up there, more places worth going to. Maybe it's because we moved to Muscatine, the black hole of Iowa. I like Ames since it's quiet and away from the big city living.

I did the same. Lived in Topeka for a year. That state is a real bore!

Muscatine is a shithole, my buddy moved there to be close to his wifes family, they are like the Rockefellers of Muscatine.

My parents are trying to leave ASAP. So many nasty muscasluts and minorities overrunning the town.

My buddy worked at HON in Muscatine for about a year after college, then he and his wife got jobs at John Deere in Waterloo, much nicer town.

I've seen the operations of both companies and, in my field, I wouldn't work for either one. But they are a great fit for others. My mom was hired by HNI (hon's big brother) as a pilot, so that's why we moved to muscavegas. HNI sold their airplanes so now we have no ties to Iowa keeping us here, except my dad's job at Cobham in Davenport is decent.

My wife's family lives in the Quad Cities, Bettendorf and some of the smaller towns north of there are nice, but Davenport seems dumpy to me. You know how those old Mississippi River towns are.

Yeah, my buddy has his ME degree from ISU and is a a powertrain engineer for Deere. I think he likes his job but doesn't care much for all the lifers at the plant always causing grief.

If it wasn't for the dude fucking with the motor, it might be a decent rig, take the bed off and put down some wood planks.... But since he fucked up the timing chain I wouldn't take it.

Yeah, the bed needs to go. It's a pile. If it was only $500 it would be a good candidate for a chevy 350 swap. Too much money for the work it needs. Engine, bed, tires, armor, whatever else.
