hey guys, i am in need of some help here.

i took my truck in for an alignment and the dogears on the eccentric cam bolt bent flat down. so i need to find a shop that can handle bending the dogears straight and then welding a bead on the back of the dogears to reinforce them.

does anyone know of a shop that can do that? as close to franklin as possible

you should just buy new alignment cams... prob cheaper than asking a shop to do that and paying labor.

 

The guy has the sliders now we'll see what happens.

i like my cobra 75 wx st. bought it on Amazon prime for like 63 bucks.

 

its not the cams, its the dogear that limits the cams movement that needs to be repaired.

 

An off road company sells a replacement for them that are thicker but require them to be welded on. I can't remember which one, gimme a minute. Also, those dog ears don't do a damn thing and a lot of people bend them down anyways. Once the bolts are torqued down, those dog ears shouldn't be doing anything.

Oh, f-that... no way I'm dropping the pan to swap that thing out. If Toyota wanted it servicable, they should use a spin on style filter

my drivers side is . good old firestone forgot to tighten the bolt .

 

Mine was a result of the frozen LCA bolts and trying to wrestle them free
