Looks like your on the right track, detail, detail, detail. It's really a nice convenience having it done at my wife's work, and again, for fifteen bucks a bargain in my book. And they really do a nice job. I have given this same thing some thought as something to do after retirement.

ya know..just thinking here, but in my area there are SOO many detailers, its not even funny.

Now, you know how to detail a nice, shiny new truck..What do you do about carpet stains, paint oxidation, scratches, stained seats? You need to know alot more then just wax on wax off, grasshopper.

What if you have someone bring you a car thats 14 years old, oxidized to hell and wants it to look like yours? And when you get done, it dosent so they dont want to pay you?

Better think about what your getting into man. I hope it works out for ya, but the general public is just a bunch of douchebags.

Oh no I do Every single thing you can think of.

    I just washed this moms Tahoe. She has a 3 y/o, 5 y/o, and a 10 y/o.

Had nasty Black stains EVERYWHERE. Pen Marks on the seats. Spoiled "snacks"

But when I got done they said that it looked like it came straight out of the factory.

$23.00 Tells alot. $20.00 for SUVs. $15.00 for sedans.

The idea about going to businesses is a really good one. There was a guy that would come to a client where I worked. He'd charge whatever (I don't know... never used him) but would be busy ALL DAY every time he came. He did good enough work to get repeat business, and I think he went to a different place every day of the week.

Good luck to you. If you're ever in B'ham (and giving a TW discount), lemme know!

    Your truck looks nice.

If you want to go mobile then maybe you should consider magnetic signs for the doors of your truck or something. Even if you only put them on when you went to jobs. I got 2 signs for my biz for about $60 total.
