AFE CAI, flowmaster 40 chopped after axle, window tint, blacked out badges, painted rims black, LCE headers
I just got a flowmaster 1 in 1 out for my 07 2.7 reg cab and i didnt think to get a 1 in 2 out so I think I'm going to get a Y pipe off of autoanything and they come in 2.5" in 2.5" out and 2.5" in 3" out.
Will there be any sound difference with the 3" out over the 2.5"?

    Heres the link to it

Also would it lose any power from losing back pressure

I believe that would be true. You would be trading more sound for less low end torque. Now that might not be a bad trade depending on the sound. ;)

Yeah, it's not always just about gains. Sounding cool is neat too. ;)
LCE makes really well designed products and I've always been pleased with them. I've been thinking about an 18 inch Magnaflow, even though it will cost some low end torque. When I listen to those Tacoma YouTubes I want to get one.

Yeah ive also listened to them too and think they sound nice..whats the part number...i see alot of people on here put them on there second gens but they always get a 2.25" in/out..why do they do that when our trucks are 2.5" piping

I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure that mine has 2.25 tubing. In fact, I just ordered a #11255 like this...

off ebay for $83 including free shipping and no sales tax. I have this Magnaflow exhaust on my car and it sounds great. :)

The normal operating range of a 2.7 is at very low rpms (1,000-2,000), so in my opinion it doesn't need a large diameter exhaust system. I have large wheels on mine and the engine only turns 2,000 in 5th gear at 60 mph on the freeway. I'm not really interested in top end performance. I just want a nice sound without losing the low end torque.
