    Hi all,
I am debating on 2ndary shocks which I want to get ordered ASAP to take full advantage of the Icon S2 setup. Icon bypass remote res shocks are gonna run >$1700 for the pair! Icon remote res smooth bodies with their CDC external tuning valve run ~$1100 for 2. I can definitely appreciate the incresed tuneability of the bypass over the smooth body/CDC application but the $ difference hurts! Any opinions?

I can bring mine (Icon). They'll either be on the LCAs or in my hand (Capt. Obvious there huh?)

Damn icon is expensive. I would go with the cheaper option, but i dont really know the difference. Unless your planning on doing high speed wheeling you might not even use them to their full potential. And there isnt many places to do high speed stuff around here.

2ndary shocks. and my tree is wilting :(, which is why I solicited fb. I know the bypass will provide super tuneability but 700 dollars worth??? I. Can't. Think. Straight. Anymore. Brain. Shutting. Down!

Put my bumper on. Previous owner must have had a real hard recovery, as the bumper was bowed out so that the mounting plates had an approximately 3/4" difference from the rear part of the mounting arms to the part closer to the front of the truck. A little ghetto ingenuity, and all back to normal.

Two bottle jacks, some 2x4's, the post for my dock piers, and duct tape...

I would spend some time on the Mid Travel and Long Travel BS Threads. Those guys spend the money on secondarys and put that adjustabiity to good use. Honestly, unless you're going to do higher speed runs, I'm not sure you'll ever really use all the adjustability and if you do, you might want to think about reinforcing some of your stock parts.

The big difference is tuneabilty, which I would like to adjust the ride between on road and off. The Icon CDC clicker valve (new development) allows you to adjust the compression on the smooth body and, obviously the remote res ups your oil capacity. The bypass ups the ante by giving you the ability to adjust both rebound and compression for a higher degree of control off road (and a sweet ride on the road of course). Am I the odd man out in the region as far as looking at 2ndary shocks?
