Yep. $1600 for everything and it has a 2 year warranty. I'm just going to go with the 4.88's he can get because I'll get a 2 year warranty on those vs a 1 year warranty on just the labor.

 

Yeah I don't understand 4wheelparts. They just try and fuck u anyway they can. Those are exact gears I have but I had 3 people tell me they been installing gears for 15 years and never heard of Nitro. Haha fuck yall then.

And someone would have to come up with a damn good visual point to prove to me that u don't waste more gas at higher Rpms. That just sounds ignorant as fuck. Your truck probably makes about 60 hp at 1200 Rpms and makes 280 at 4500 Rpms but it requires no more fuel to make 5x the amount of power!? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

 

Yes u would. Your truck comes stock with 3.88s and 31s. So your chart goes 4.10 = 33s, 4.56 = 35s, 4.88s = 37s. All those numbers are to put u as close as possible back to stock power and mpg numbers. If u have a shorter gear then your tires then u will make more torque and your truck will be quicker but the gear rotation doesn't match the tire rotation so u will have even higher Rpms

 

That makes sense. So how much worse gas milage? Guy in the 6" thread said it would be worse but not by much.

Dude, you drive a truck. I never understood why fuel economy was such a huge deal to people in these offroad forums. My truck has been getting worse and worse gas mileage with every mod but that's all part if the hobby. If I wanted fuel economy I'd buy a Prius. If you like the mod, then do it. Your never gonna get real good fuel economy out of a 4x4 truck in comparison to other vehicles anyway.

you could get good MPG but you would lose the power to haul stuff, and tow a lot of weight. take the ridge line for example. it gets better MPG, but can’t tow or haul as much as the taco can, and i think they both have about the same size engine.

 

Lifts are over rated, I think i proved that. lol. all though i did hit my hitch a few times, but i think even with a lift i would have hit it.

 

Not much worse. U will get better mpg at lower speeds but worse at highway speeds. It will equal itself out

 

Hahaha well I'm not expecting to get like 18 mpg's. I mean who doesn't want better gas milage if it's available? Its like asking who wants free money. But I'm getting around 12-13 mpg right now but id like it to get better or at least stay the same once I regear. 10 mpg would kill me!

Sweet. I'll just go with 4.88's. I do more city miles so that would be a good thing. We'll see what graduation money brings in and go from there. Hopefully I'll be able to get everything after the first couple weeks of summer. Going to work as much as I can! And I've got a good bit saved up but tryin to keep that as an emergency fund.

Well here is what i got for the truck. tie down points for the front corners. bolts to the front and side bed rails.

 

Those are awesome! I thought about getting some, but I don't want to move my hi-lift jack and bike mounts... I like them a lot though!

 

yeah i like them. and jerry has a very good design on them! I don’t have a hi lift or anything so i don’t have to worry about that. They were only $71 shipped, with usps. also they were packaged very good. all the bolts and T-nuts and washers were wrapped so they could not be lost.

edit: also idk why, but you can’t really see the sticker. but it saws.
