Current config of one of my 16" guns - started life as a lowly DelTon upper, but the barrel was so accurate I cut down the FSB and free floated it. Geissele trigger in there, with AAC can out front.

Haven't gotten around to firing my newest toy yet, but I did purchase 10 (30 round) PMAGs last week.

I'm not sure what the supply is like out there, but I can get Gen 2 or 3 (30 round / black / windowless) for $25-$30 each depending. (pricey, but readily available)

Give me a little something for gas & shipping & I'm happy.

Hopefully I haven't bitten off more than I can chew. :pccoffee:

Yes you can build an 80% lower into a pistol, but you have to comply with California's "Safe Handgun" law (Penal Code Section 32000(a)) if you build it in a semi-auto configuration. This means you have to submit it for the DOJ testing process and it must have a magazine disconnect or a loaded chamber indicator. There is no exception to the "Safe Handgun" law for home builds.

You can do it as a pistol if it starts it's life as a pistol. If it starts it's life as a pistol you can change it to a rifle then back to a pistol then back to a rifle etc.

If it starts it's life as a rifle it cannot be converted to a pistol AR.

On that note I remember reading you recently got 2-3 billet 80%ers. Have you been keeping up to date on the legalities of 80% build parties from a commercial business??

Right on, I've been waiting 2 months for my sdn-6 for the 300blk. Looks like the wait jumped up like crazy now, probably looking at another 6 months :(

Picked up my Bison Armory 18"spr, 6.8spc that I ordered Feb1.
I'm stoked! Can't wait to start sighting in. Ben was great to work with and I expected a much longer wait.
What are everyone's opinions on bore lapping? I've read a lot of conflicting opinions.

i think it's good if your barrel is pitted or shitty (can only help at that point), but i'd see what it shoots first before you mess with the bore.

Just shoot it, unless you reload for perfect match type rounds and do long range competition.

    Thanks guy.
I agree and that seems like the most practical approach I read. Just see how it shoots and if it seems shitty, then consider it.

Edit: sounds good Blake, and can your mom come along also?;), J/K

    Black M2 Pmags for $12, limit 2.

    http://www.midwayusa.com/product/18...e-magazine-ar-15-223-remington-30-round-black

Might add a couple $14 Stoners (C Products) while you're at it since you're paying shipping anyway.

    http://www.midwayusa.com/product/11...with-anti-tilt-follower-stainless-steel-black

And if you want more, there are $16 mags with C Products on the floorplate:

    http://www.midwayusa.com/product/31...with-anti-tilt-follower-stainless-steel-black

Maybe it helps if someone is lookin'.
