Concept. Will never make production. Chevy already knows. It's just fill work for the engineering/design teams. All car companies do it. They have several teams design a car to decide who should get the real project.

Ya I know it's a concept but if they are focusing on a trail blazer with a bed they are headed in the wrong direction

They've done it once and it failed...They won't do it again.

So after seeing a pic of an LED bar mounted on a roof rack, I've decided I want one...

I'd love to get a roof rack exactly like this one...

But since that's a custom built one, I think I might go with this one.

If/when I do this it will still be a while from now, but any thoughts or suggestions???

That's not the exact one, but it's the only picture of one on a Tacoma. The one I'm looking at is 4' long, so it should fit just fine on an extended cab.

Once you see LED bars, you want 10 off them.
    I might make my own:spy:

Haha yeah.. If I get a roof rack I'll probably end up mounting one on each side of the rack!

nice. i want to get a roof rack. for looks/usage and for a place to put a led light bar. i want one like xmadcowx, or what ever from FL. his looks sick, and has a nice floor lay out and sides. so stuff wont fall thru and hit roof, and some stuff.(say like bags of top soil wont slide off. and if you only have like 2 or 3 bags you probably wont. “have to” tie them down. would be a good idea incase you got in a wreck though. also i would have removable cross bars made, so i can put a snow board rack, or kayak rack, on them and take it off easy when i don’t need it.

Should be cool then. I want one to put a spare tire in, but I can only imagine how another foot of air resistance would drop gas mileage.

That would be my plan, I'd just put the spare in the bed when traveling distances. The farthest I drive at one time is maybe 30 miles round trip every other week or so. Most of my driving isn't even over 30mph.

Haha I want a 40" double row on the front, and a 20" single row on each side and the back.

it would add drag. but a tire is also round, if you put a box on the top, it would probably drop more then with a tire. at least i would think it would.

Not a big fan of the roof rack options on Taco's. Unless your hauling a 15ft canoe, what else would you put in a roof rack that cant be put or secured in the bed?

I like my bed space. When I put a motorcycle in there, not much room for a 33" tire.

I'm so bored! My truck should be done by the end of the day, but its an hour drive back to where I'm staying so its not worth driving a 2 hour round trip just to come back.
So I'm sitting at starbucks, contemplating life:rolleyes:

I always wait nearby for short stuff like that. Unless I hangout in the shop and bs while they work. I'm good friends with the guys at the tire shop and I help them out. Even when I had my alignment done I hungout with the dude while he had her on the rack.

Stupid Internet went out... I could tell it wasn't just me, because soon I heard a lot of vehicles leaving the dorm parking lots haha there's really nothing else to do if you don't have Internet at our dorms...
