I get 16 on average. my best was 21 while I was following my coworker who drives like a granny. But at 70mph on the expressway it sucks it down. I am thinking about getting a decent K&N intake to see if that helps.

I'm getting 20-21 mpg with my DCLB V6 4X4. I usually drive 60-70mph but don't horse it to get there. I'm happy. I was getting around 18.5 this winter letting it run to warm up and occasional 4WD driving. I always fill it up and reset my trip. Fill it until it clicks and I always figure my MPG.

I do tend to get on it once in a while so i cant complain. Plus i put on 275-70-16 which made it drop. my truck is a 07 v6 doublecab. with off-road pkg.
We had an electrician here once that had a 09' extended cab tundra with a charger in it and he claims he got over 20 mpg regularly. He said he gained mpg when he installed a turbo charger. I thought this was the opposite.....

I have a 2013 DCSB Sport 4x4. It only has 2500 miles on it. I drive mostly highway at 70 and don't stomp it to get there. Last tank was 21.2 and the 4 before that was 20. I'm happy. I could have gotten a full size 4 door 4x4 Chevy for close to what I paid for my Tacoma, but I didn't think the mpg would be close to what the Tacoma gets. My father in law has a 2012 4x4 Chevy (5.3 or whatever replaced that engine) and the best he has seen is 14. He does more city driving, but.drives very easy.

I'm happy...maybe my mpg will even increase as the engine breaks in.

If I wanted MPG's Id pf bought a Prius. I bought a cool looking truck that Im going to modify slightly. Looking good comes at a price I guess. Heck compared to my 07 FJ that was heavily modded the 18.5 I am averaging overall is awesome!

I find this so hard to believe... Never in my life have I heard a full size Chevy getting over 20mpg... I would recommend checking your math or like maxamillion2345 said, sell it ...

I might be one of the lucky ones but I regularly get 23-24 out of mine. I do drive like a grandpaw and usually stay off the freeway. I have a 40 min drive to work (all country back roads) and I rarely get over 45 mph. That said, I baby mine around everywhere I go. I am almost never in a hurry to get anywhere. I have aftermarket mud tires (stock size 10 ply 40 psi) and I run premium fuel in it (I know, I know.. Probably makes no difference but makes me feel better). I also fill it all the way to the neck of the filler (I know.. also not recommended but at least I know when I figure mileage it will be accurate).

The worst mileage that I have every gotten in it was just a little over 15 with a strong head wind in South Dakota and the best mileage that I have gotten is just a little over 26 with a strong tail wind in Wyoming.

THat is what I get for the most part but mine is bone stock tires and no lift other then bags in the rear.

I tow an ATV trailer and one 350 honda ATV.

Really not happy with mine for the MPG I knew it would drop but I had one trip hunting and got 9 and about lost it.

Keep in mine I was driving a 3/4 ton 4x4 4d dodge diesel with a camper cover and the same trailer. I got 20 MPG then.

Have you taken it to the dealer and asked about it? Sorry you may have answered that earlier and I just missed it. That sounds like something is definitively wrong.

Speaking of diesels. I had a 2003 1 ton Dodge with a Cummins and 6 speed and I would regularly get 20-22 mpg out of it unloaded. Towing our ATV's to Colorado each year it would average around 15 mpg for the entire trip.

I have 4,300 miles on mine and drive it in a normal way, I hardly ever get more than 16 mpg in city driving, which is the majority of my driving. I'm not complaining, but I would think I would get at least 18 or so mpg on a V6 in a truck that is catagorized as a mid-sized truck. Don't get me wrong, I like my truck and am planning on keeping it. I just wanted to get my two cents in. Love my Tacoma despite the mpg's.

You need to drive it a bit more. Give it between 10-15k and you will see improvement. Also, I would recommend using non-ethanol gas to see more improvement.

That is excellent advice. I was in South Dakota and decided to buy Mid grade fuel with Ethanol added since it was cheaper and had more "octane". My mileage suffered greatly with that fuel and I never made that mistake again.

I have a 13' dblcab short bed 6speed 4x4 and I have had her since January and got 4300 on the odo I get around 19.7 in town haven't had her on the freeway yet but soon my driving style is moderate, my shift points are around 2500 rpms I am super happy my 2005 ford f150 got 14 mpg city 14 mpg highway so the taco rocks in the fuel economy department and my truck is bone stock. I laugh at most of the people that bitch about MPG what the hell do you expect when you lift them and put oversize tires on and than they bitch about their fuel economy it's hilarious and this is on winter gas. Anyways to those that bitch about MPG it is a truck not a car DUH if your getting 17 mpg be happy for god's sake and I am not pointing fingers if the shoe fits wear it.

I have an 09 DCLB TRD sport, completely stock, 78k miles, with V6 and get 20 in town and 21-22 highway. I don't think that is too bad.
