Bostons snort & snore. Fart too.

I'd ease off on the wet food and I'd try and get him to slow down when he eats. Get a bowl that has a number of "mounds" in it so he has to search for his food (it will make sense when you see the bowl-looks like it's full of rocks).

Oh. And puppy foods have a pretty high fat content. That can lead to stink farts too. Switch to adult dog food maybe and adjust the qty accordingly-that might help too.

I never had luck with slow-feed bowls and Zeus, so he gets portion fed. I make him sit, put about a dozen pieces in his bowl...he vacuums that up, then sits...wait a minute or so, rinse and repeat. He's inhaled his food his whole life, which I still don't understand why. He's an only child, just turned 8, but acts like he's competing for his food or something. /shrug

    Yes, I sold my '13 Taco. :'(
Today FedEx dropped off King's official UKC permanent pedigree certificate + easy access card. Pretty neat!

Should be getting his ADBA permanent pedigree certificate next week.

You guys ever experience problems with vicious movements from your dog? Like just tonight I was giving my dog kisses on his nose and he started to show his teeth and at one time even snapped at me. Should I let him do that and assume that I'm just upsetting him and shouldn't punish him for it or should I quickly assert the problem and punish him. Tonight he got his butt spanked and yelled at and kicked off the bed for the night but I don't want to punish him if its just a normal thing and he is just telling me he doesn't like being kissed, it just scares me because he's around kids sometimes.

No I can do what ever I want to both my dogs and they just sit there and take it. Same goes for kid and my nephew he uses my lab as a crash pad and he just rolls over. Although he normally has some sort of food in his hand and gunner gets to eat it upon the landing :) I am the alpha and they know that.

My lab just flipped the slow feed blow over and ate it off the ground haha. It was pretty funny to watch him get frustrated and figure a way around it.

This is why I love labs. My best friends 2 year old daughter for some reason always pulls my dogs whiskers when playing with her. No matter how many times we tell her that she doesn't like it, she still does it. But like a typical lab, she just sits there and deals with it.

UNACCEPTABLE!!!!! dog should NOT ever show his teeth to you. YOU are the alpha. If he doesn't like what you are doing, HE should leave. Do not spank your dog. If he snarls, etc, roll him on his back. YOU decide how long he stays there (if he fights, then he stays until he calms down) and then let him go . Then "forget it". If he only does it while on your bed, don't let him on the bed. Give him his own on the floor, next to your bed.

If this is new behavior, a trip to the vet for a check up might be in order to see if he's got something going on.

I raise my voice when the girls act up, and they scram

Dude, you have a potential problem on your hands, being pack animals they look to & are almost always submissive to the alpha dog
(thats supposed to be you) Quite possible that your dog doesn't see you as such, therefore , outward aggressive behavior towards you is a challenge almost, you can't have this because I promise sooner or later he's going to turn on you or family members ,sadly you need to seriously consider getting rid of him ...just my $.02
