    I didn't think it would take them that long. Thought it would be more like $100. Though, it is my rig, and I would do a lot of things before I lose it, and this will help me keep it for much longer yet! So yeah, it is worth it. :cool:

    also, i drove my friend's 88 yj (the one that got stuck) tonight..and holy shit am I glad I have my toyota. Broken shit galore, you can start the vehicle without the key (just push the steering wheel up and crank the ignition), such a weird floppy ride...Certainly drove and sounded and felt like a JEEP, however it was a pretty user friendly clutch though. I was seeing how much the thing swayed when you swerved and I did it enough I got pulled over for suspected of being drunk lol! whoope. parked it after that one!

    See pictures in this post - basically in between the muffler and the rails, or in the inside frame rail, I should say. Everyone else is right, that $175 is cheap in the long run, but I'm currently on a very limited income, so it hurts right now. lol. But, the 4Runner is back in my driveway and I'm happy, they did a fabulous job. I'll have to get some pictures up later...

    Had some fun camping last night with some of the SIK guys and did some pre-running down a rutted road followed by some fairly intense crawling. Then we turned around and I did some more pre-running down that rutted road. I was doing about 70-80 and caught air a couple times, but it was doing good and then all of a sudden the rear end felt weird and then it swayed a couple times and I thought for sure it was just about to whip around and I was going to roll... so I let off the throttle and it only whipped just enough to put me in the ditch... Luckily the ditch was small and had no rocks so once it straightened back out in the ditch I just got on the throttle again and turned out of the ditch (although slower this time haha). The whole stretch wasn't even a mile but I felt my rear shocks and they were almost hot enough to burn me, so I wonder if they heated up so much that the valving was basically shot and that is why it started to feel weird in the back.

    We finished out by heading across some hills to the east of Pocatello. There is a decent road that follows the ridge and is pretty mellow other than a couple steep spots. We were playing around with flexing out and I went over this berm and got myself high centered, both of my passenger tires were off the ground. So I locked both lockers and tried to back up. Both tires spun so I turn the wheel driver to give the front tire a little more traction and pop went the CV... I have done all of this hard crawling just waiting for one to go and I do it on a plain gravel road not even 5 minutes from the paved road at the end of the trail... I guess I can't blame the CV though. When I got out to check it, I realized what I had done... It was pretty much at full droop and I had it at full lock when it popped.
