Iphone with factory (09) bluetooth?

Anyone using this setup?

I use mine all the time. It is really convenient and simple. You can leave your phone in your pocket or in the center console, the truck will recognize that it is with you. Also it shows how much service (signal bars) you have on your radio display.

i dont have the bluetooth but my moms lexus is pretty much the same setup but it looks "pretty" lol and she has it but it has some glitches...sometimes it wont work, it may be her iphone its the 1st gen, and her es350 is a 08

the new generation (3GS) comes out next friday. should be the same bluetooth though. I've been technologically challenged for a while, thinking of jumping back in.

Can you add the bluetooth to a 09, mine didn't come with it but I would really like to get it. How easy is the install?

 

X2. Should be easy to add, but I am also curious as to the exact process.

 

I believe it's just a matter of replacing the Head Unit with one that has bluetooth. Based on adding the IPOD adapter the my factory unit it should be pretty easy. You'd have to run a wire for the mic to a desired location and that should be it.

There's bound to be someone here who has actually done it.

 

I believe you'd need to add the microphone and steering wheel controls as well.

 

Ok, just paired a Iphone 3GS. Worked like a charm.
