Still watching this, I need to test the new suspension :)

I really want to go, but not sure on the job side yet.

Communication wise, I still need to figure out where to mount the CB I bought in a drunken moment :p

Not yet. Still not sure where to mount the CB. Have a Cobra 29LX so finding a good spot is kinda hard :)

I want to go with a no frills radio specifically because of mounting.

If I were you, and didn't need to use the center console for anything, I'd mount it inside there. This way, it's hidden when you're not using it, but when you need it, you can pull it out at any time.

Another potential option you can explore is velcro'ing the radio to the side of the transmission wall. You can remove it and then put a patch on it to cover it up when you unmount the CB.

The glove box is another popular option.

Anyone on the tentative list make up their mind yet? :D

I was hoping we can find out who's camping out, then maybe start a list of what people can bring as far as food, supplies, etc.

For example, I have a few different grills I can bring (diff sizes) depending on how many people go.

Anyone else's wife/significant other coming? Oh and MJ, I've got a grill I can bring, few pots and pans too, although if the wife comes I'd have to keep it a "vegetarian items only" grill... lol

I'm in, but I'm not sure I'll stay the night Saturday. My nieces bday party is Sunday and I can't miss it, so I may take off after wheeling or leave really early on Sunday. I'll be heading up Friday though and spending the night. I might try to convince the Fiance to go, but it's highly doubtful.

sounds good. i guess we'll find out when we're closer if I need to bring one too, or just use yours. My fiance is also veg but she's not coming :D

I know some people will leave after the trail and not camp on Saturday night. And for the day trip people, they'll also probably leave after the trail. So you'll have company if you decide to leave at that time.

No prob. Thanks for the update. Big Sur is awesome

Sounds good. I doubt she will go since there isn't any bathrooms out there. Plus she won't be into wheeling all day. I'll definitely pick you up.

Haha that would be the sight. She'd probably come but with my 2.5 year old I'd be a struggle. Both of them wouldn't want to sit in a car all day wheeling. I'm trying to convince her to make the summer camping trip if it happens.

Also do I need a CB? I know it will help but I don't know if I can pick one up before I go.

CB or FRS would help. I'll have both so I can communicate b/t the two
