I currently have the URD 2.8" pulley for the TRD S/C for my 4.0L on a 2006. Since I have pure methanol injection, currently running at less than 50%, I was looking for a smaller pulley, like maybe a 2.7" to up the boost and horsepower.

Does anybody here have experience with a smaller than 2.8" pulley with the same engine?

By the way, my current set up runs 337 rwhp.

lots of people running much smaller pully set ups but they all have long tubes and an ems like the UCON.

Just be careful of your AFR's if you run a smaller pulley without an EMS

FPR (fuel pressure regulator) mod recommended if you don't use an EMS

My tuning guy has tons of experience and uses the dyno to tune conservatively. He believes we can achieve 20-30 rwhp with a smaller pulley and upping the Alky numbers, but at the end I might have to get a full EMS system like the UCON... Let's see. The problem is that I might have to special order a pulley that is smaller than the 2.8" urd I am running, but have not found a vendor yet. The original manufacturer of the TRD 3.0" pulley might be able to help... Any ideas out there?

URD can supply you with a 2.7 or a 2.55 pulley. There's your vendor lol

There is people that ran the 2.7 on the TRD reflash
