I have not. I have heard that a lot of people don't like Giant but the kit is still supposed to be pretty good. It's also like $300 more than DMZ's so I may go with DMZ.

Yeah I just came across that in his build thread. If I did their kit I would do the fully bolt in version and install it myself though so it would just come down to if they make their parts decent or not. The clearly can't install...

Right but Olympians are lifting under a different style I guess. Crossfit is about doing the most work in the least amount if time. But they like to test pure strength too. Watch the women's clean ladder. You'll see women that weight 160lbs cleaning over 215lbs which is a ton of weight for a small women.

The Olympic lifters would not be able to keep up with the crossfit guys in a actual workout just like crossfiters can't lift as much. Although would be interesting to do a pound for pound competition. Rich Froning the two time crossfit games champ cleaned and jerked 375 two months ago and snatched 300lbs. That's a ton of weight for someone training like him.

But whatever. Go and watch one locally if there is one. I'm serious. If you understand it it's awesome.

I say the same shit about soccer and wrestling haha no one understands it so they don't like it. Only those that have participated do.

    Pretty much.

It claims 21" and most people seem to be anywhere from 18-20" on it so I would be happy with that much at least. When I was looking at the defined kit, it claims 15" but nobody that I saw with came close to that. A lot of them seemed lucky to get 12" out of it... My front end practically has 12" of travel now... That wouldn't work out so well I don't think...

I do like the idea of a bolt in bedcage too. Would make things easier for me. Not sure if anyone makes for for the Shortbeds though.

My shackles are inverted... That would really fuck things up. haha:p
Yeah. I think they do make a shortbed one, I just haven't found a pic or any info to prove it.

After I install the SUA, I'll just leave the 5100's on it and drop it off with you to build a bed cage for me:D haha You like to build stuff and I'll bet you do better work than Giant for sure! Then we can measure for shocks and go have a blast!!

Finally got some photos of my welded up rust hole... Nothing exciting, except I'm happy to have my truck back!

What do you think of it?

Sheesh they didn't even put some paint on it for you??

And dang, I think I lay better welds then that..unless that's TIG welded..

But glad you got it back man!

Shoot, thanks Ben for reminding me, I do need to paint that. I hadn't thought about that, since rust isn't much of an issue here... I'll spray my can of useless Rustoleum Rust Convertor on it, that should be enough to cover it up until I paint the chassis and work on the rest of the mild rust this summer...

    Think that it'll do it?

Really, you think those are bad welds? Honestly, I don't care, as long as it's strong and holds in place. Gonna be impossible to see once the muffler is back on.

Just went to Cal Ranch to get my own set of shock extenders to fix my rear droop issue and I found the couplers but could not find headless bolts (or whatever they are called) for nothing... Thought about buying a bolt and cutting the head off but since I don't have a vice that wouldn't be very fun to do...

They may not be appealing to the eyes, but they look like they will hold just fine. Any paint on them will do basically. It only takes a little bit of water to make bare steel rust.

I don't have any paint on hand, I don't think. I'll go out and buy some rattle can later this week. For now, I'm DD'ing my beater and letting the 4Runner sit until I can get the muffler welded. Hopefully Thursday evening.

Yeah, agreed with you both, like I said, I don't care about the pretty welds there anyway. And Brady, yes, your bumper is the prime example of that! haha. Fortunately, mine is not exposed, so it will give me a little bit of time to get some paint on there.

    Thanks guys!

Yeah. haha. My bumper was good for about 2 days and then it rained and it turned straight to rust... As long as it doesn't rain and you don't go splash in water it will be fine until you can get it painted. Even then it wouldn't be that hard to clean it up a little to paint if it did rust.

stuff doesn't rust fast around here. And its all surface rust for a long time. My jerry can holder is rusty too but just needs hit with a sander and its fine.

He will be fine for at least a week.
