Couple of guys in our sign shop think that a 3ft x 3ft sign is 6 square feet.

And their manager wonders why he's always running short on material.

Just blew iced tea all over my keyboard thinking about the fact that the "gangsta wannabees" don't understand the prison culture significance of wearing their pants around their knees.

is it worse that you don't know...or worse that you don't educate yourself to know?

especially with google a click away.

If I had access to information 30 years ago like you kids do now...I would be versed in so many areas of study...but then, I'm a sponge for learning.

    50

And Alaska & Hawaii have been states for over 50 years.

Puerto Rico, Guam, and the US Virgin Islands are not, and will likely never be admitted as states.

    Ditto.

By the time I was 10, I had read my parents' encyclopedia.
Of course, this encyclopedia was handed down to them and was already some 10 years out of date when they got married in 1948... The picture of LA City Hall was funny with the caption "City Hall towers above downtown Los Angeles"

But ya... no web, no cell phones. We rode our bikes to the library and actually read books. Might spend 3 hours searching for one piece of research supporting a point we were trying to make in a paper.
