    If I had to choose I'd say down.

    But honestly, personally, I think they both look meh. You need a light bar or a bumper.

    I agree, get a light bar. Plus mounting to plastic won't keep them very secure during off road use.

    i would personally get a light bar or bumper with tabs made for the lights if i were you. if you dont want to spend the extra money on getting a bumper made or getting a light bar i would just mount them down

    You could work with the idea you have and make it stronger. just one point of contact to hold the light stead isn't going to work very well.
