IF your phone just got wet and not impact damage it could be salvageable...Take out the battery (if possible) and then soak the whole thing in ethanol for 24hrs...then take it out, dry with paper towels and wrap it in a paper towel and put it in a zip lock bag full of DRY white rice...Set it on top of a cable box or other continuous warm item...In about 3 days pop the battery back in and it should be fine....

This has saved more than a few of my friends digital Items...I dropped a 32GB Ipod touch in a glass of Mt. Dew...Still using the Ipod today.


Note...you can bypass the ethanol stage if it's not available...

But in the stores you can buy Denatured Alcohol (ethanol treated to make it poison to keep Kitty Dukakis from drinking it)

Also you can buy Everclear (95%) 190 proof In CT i believe...we get it from there for lab work.

 

My ethanol typically says Vodka or Rum somewhere on the bottle

Thanks. I will keep that in mind for next time. Unfortunatly my motorola atrix doesn't have a removable battery. Plus I cracked the screen pretty good. Fortunatly I've got the best buy protection plan. They're sending me a new one no questions asked. I just have to wait until its back in stock, my model phone is backordered at the moment. Until then I've got a loaner blackberry to use.

 

I put a call into a Line-X place for a price to get my sliders done. $500 Apparently they have to sand blast off everything down to bare metal then prime and paint. If I prepped them myself, it'd be $350 for them just to prime and paint them! I think I'm sticking with rattle can

 

The problem with the bacardi is it's still 25% water if it's 150 proof...you want 95% or better...So if you have it in .5L of alcohol your looking at less than 50ml of Water...And def don't use goldschlager..those metal flakes will eff you up

 

So you basically want triple distilled moonshine

Omg my breath is taken away. John said he wanted to see the Grand Canyon so me and the lady tossed ideas around after my seminar and 4 hours later my words became nothing. Absolutely GORGEOUS. little chilly but the view makes up for that. Never mind the roads from there too here 75mph posted limit but legit I could see the road deaf straight for MILES. we got a VW Jetta 2.0T as a loaner from the convention. Cars pretty quick.
