What about all the AC guys? They all have long beds. You probably bought your DCSB so you could get the OR and have your cool stickers

    I knew that was coming...

That's why I bought a DC too. Not yet but soon enough we will have one or two. I like being able to open the back door without opening the front too!! There is way more room and just more practical. My buddy had a reg cab for about 2 years and traded it in for more than he owed, i forgot exactly but he basically drove the truck for free for two years for what they gave bom for it!!then he got an AC. Nice truck but so little room. He doesn't need it though.

Just the essentials and no extra fluff.
Short. If i need to carry anything big, which is very rarely, I can rent a trailer.

I have and prefer the looks of a short bed. But, there are times that I wish that I had just a little more space so that i could just shut the tailgate instead of dragging out the straps.

Get what you need for your use. They all look good. Perfect would have been locker w/ LB. Since not an option; LB won. Parking hasn't been an issue since I was old enough to drink a beer.

    SR5 here...

The LB was more important to me than the locker. I use the bed more than I go offroading

Is that a US thing? You can get DCLB in Standard base package, SR5, TRD Sport, TRD Sport + Leather and Limited package here. (Most popular Tacoma around here is 4x4 DCLB in one of the TRD trims, at least that is 70% of Tacomas I notice driving around)

TnRedNeck721 is talking about the TRD OR. They don't make the OR in a DCLB. But we have all those other options.

this! the DCLB comes in all those but the TRD off road.

now the only way to get the 6’ bed here in an off road in AC and maybe reg cab? not sure if it comes in the reg cab or not.

I think out of the DC, i see the short bed the most. But i do see the DCLB trd sport quite a bit, but not quite as much as the sb.

lol. I can haul my bike and still go down tight trails.

and any ways, the bike wont fit in a 6’ bed with out putting it at a slight angle. usually when i put it in dads ’00 tundra i push it up, tie it down and swing the rear tire over a few inches.

What's the length difference between a DCSB and an AC(LB)?

Also just curious, not starting a pissing match, but for those of you who say you rarely or never use the bed, why did you get a pickup? I'm honestly just curious. If I didn't haul junk as often as I do I'd likely be in a Runner or Sub or something. Why buy a bed, long or short, if you don't need a bed?

I don’t think there is a difference at all from DCSB and AC. I think wheel base is the exact same and over all length is the same.

also I looked at and fj, but thought i would be hauling my dirt bike more. but have only hauled it once, and i did not like it. it flexed the bed cleats to much.
