Yeah, I'm currently trying to figure out how to get mine off just so that I can take a look at the seal and clean and/or add some seal material to it. I live in a condo with only a parking lot where we're not "supposed" to work on our cars. I get away with it a bit, but removing the topper might be a *tad* obvious.

I made a call to Wheelers today, full OME lift on the way. Plans to put on Procomp 7069's, terra grappler 285's, and a little sawsall work. I didn't actually do anything but it it easier to finish a project than to get it started. So at least I started.

I could hang mine from the rafters in my garage but then I wouldn't be able to walk around/through/in it

Yeah for sure. Luckily (In an odd way) the mounts of the shocks are ghetto rigged so they flex a lot haha. I think that absorbed the pressure from the heavier shocks. I tightened them up after putting in the lighter shocks and everything works great now.

When I re-sealed mine when I bought it two years ago I put the tape directly on the bed rails. I cut little triangular pieces of the foam tape for the front corners. Then I put the shell on top and it hasn't leaked anywhere since.

Tossing around the idea of a wrap around on my rear bumper. I'm not sure about it though. Opinions?

It would cover up the the little indent the fender has behind the rear wheel wells.

I think that looks pretty good! I think I'd try to put the receiver in the middle of the bumper instead of underneath it if that makes sense

I meant the map lights, I can get a picture of them for you tomorrow. I can't recall the size.

I'm not really a fan of removing the license plate to tow. Gotta figure out how to light the plate when you move it too. And I usually keep a drawbar in the hitch just in case.

That makes sense. If you're going to tow more than off road the hitch receiver being where you designed would be better.

My license plate and light are just zip tied to my tube bumper :anonymous:
The first pic doesn't have the license plate light on it but the second one does. Maybe you could mount the license plate with lighting to one side of the bumper. Just throwing out suggestions

I'm still debating it all. An offset plate would be hard with the way I designed in shackle mounts and 4" led lights. The nice thing about my design is even with the hitch where it is, it's only about an inch lower than the stock bumper. Then the factory hitch drops another 3" below that. So I gain 2" or more of clearance in the center compared to the stock bumper and hitch.

Relocating the license plate would be a lot of work and would probably require you to redesign the whole bumper. That clearance gain is good and if you tow a lot that location would definitely be worth it.
