agreed on the homeless. The local pd really needs to crack down on it. Especially the new 17-20something groups of kids who think its cool to be homeless last month one of them was waving a machete around demanding money

Believe it or not, but there is a group of them that actually choose that life. I found out that there are even some down there that look/smell/act homeless, but still have mommy and daddy's credit cards just in case of emergencies. And thats why I never give them money or food! Scew them!

Well I know my friends back home in the bay area would rather live in sb, just for the fact that its nicer than where were from, and in comparison, isn't ghetto at all. I think it makes for a nice weekend holiday, that's about it.

I have yet to see anyone waving jungle knives around but, this area does have a problem with homeless people that seems to be getting worse.

Agreed but, both of the cities you mentioned are significantly larger and more densely populated.

yeah those stupid disadvantaged oftentimes mentally ill people... how dare they sleep on our streets.

but i agree with the sentiment about the youth bums, they are trash... however you must have some sympathy for the older, clearly more struggling bums. they really are a tricky situation.
