I also thought my headphone jack shorted on my Razr Maxx, it was just lint buildup. I took a paper clip and cleaned it out and worked like a champ. I've had to do this twice now.

Uhh... itunes converts all files to MP3 with one button. Then it's as simple as:
    - hook up usb cable, copy over.
    or
    - setup wifi, copy over
    or
    - remove sd card, put in laptop/computer, copy over, replace sd card.

Or just join the rest of the world and use pandora, spotify, ect

i'm finally in a position to look at a ps3, i've been working 40 hour weeks and the work wont slow down for another week or 2, so i'll have some spending money, should i get a 160 gb console with 2 controllers for $260, and if the HDD gets full buy a 500gb HDD and replace it, or get a 320 GB with 1 controller for 350?

    opinions appreciated.

First gen ps3 are super easy to upgrade the hard drive. The slim models are harder to swap out. So I would suggest go small and then put a larger hard drive in it and get a 7200rpm drive. The 350gig is a lot of space for most people.

Is it a software thing? Cause it takes like, 10 seconds max to swap the drive on a slim?

I've never done it on the slims so I'm not sure where the drive is located at. I know the OG PS3 is 1 screw to get the HDD cage out.

thing is, i don't know if i want a PS4,there's tons of PS3 games available, and its proven to be a good console, then theres the cost aspect of it to.

Also the PS4 will not play PS3 games. So all the games out there right now that are awesome, can't play them. I love my PS3, most common used device in my house aside from my media server.

If what Ive heard about XBOX720 and the used game market is true, I'm going back to PS and buying the 4. The only thing I wish would change is the days of developers limiting games to single consoles. That practice has never made sense and now that the major consoles are based on PC tech and non proprietary programming, we should see more great games on the PS4.

On this other topic regarding the PS3. There are great titles on the 3 like Battlefield 3 and soon 4 not to mention GTA5. I'm not sure if we will see many more epic titles hit before the next gens after those...

but then again they will probably release 4 :censored: more CoDs in that time

Xbox infinity still is 'up in the air'.. I think the no used games is a rumor as that would pretty much drive their business into the ground. What? You don't like that game but your best friend does? Tough shit. You want to play a 2 player game with a friend but your internet isn't working, tough shit. M$ is dumb, but I don't think they are that dumb.

Then again, the Xbox360 was a huge joke when it came out. Good ol' x-brace.. So you never know.

With the always connected thing, i'm betting you will need gold for 720 always. Its really NBD cause I have it anyway and play MP games. Its that used game market "rumor" that has me watching this month. It would be a stupid move for M$ even if they own the console market currently.
I'm not counting out PS4, Outside of Skyrim the games have looked and run better. If I had a dollar for every time my xbox froze I would have a new tires on my Tacoma. Lets not forget that i'm on my 4th Xbox in the 10 years its been out.

4 in 10 years isn't that bad honestly. Sad to say that but it's true. Someone gave me one that would red ring on me after a few hours of play. Moose and I took it out to the desert and pumped a lot of ammo into it. Then someone gave me another, and another, and then another.. They are easy to fix at least.

My PS3, first gen, got it day of release, not one issue. If you open the PS3 and the Xbox, xbox looks about as elegant as a mircowave does when you open one of those. The PS3 is a really well built machine.

The new style 360 is really well built. Those aren't bad since they ditched the entire x-brace idea.

You had one catch on fire? Did you try the towel trick or did it do it on its own?
