Getting older + marrying an indoor type of gal = no more camping. I used to have a great time camping. :(

Man, if I ever get too old to camp that's when it'll be time to eat a lead pill. Never too old!

Another trip through the Canyonlands area of Utah. Sun setting in the west, full moon rising in the east, a skyfull of star in between.

A quick one-night trip this past Saturday. Tepui Tents Kukenam (Evan is an awesome guy to do business with!) mounted on a simple custom bed rail rack made by my buddy.

That is disappointing, but I find it encouraging that there are still people, like you, in the world who will be responsible for those who won't.

sweet trailer! got any details? make/model, where to purchase, etc?

the only thing that sucks about my setup is that you can't leave camp w/out breaking the tent down! I didn't think that was going to be that big a deal until my wife wanted to go back into town for supplies.

EDIT: never mind, found the website! http://rugertrailers.com/

Thanks =) It might be the nicest spot in the entire state park. Been camping there for years and it's still the coolest place out there.

Excellent! Is this one of the mini slot canyons near or adjacent to Fish Creek?

It's actually off of Borrego Mountain Wash. Not very hard to find!

Some of the trails over there are amazing. A really good way to get over to Borrego Mountain wash is to hop on Goat Trail over by the Ranger HQ. Take it slow, though. There are some surprises going that direction. If you can't see over the hood of your truck, get out and look! There's also a big Diablo style drop-off when descending into the wash itself, so that's something to think about. Stock trucks will drag the frame there, but it's just sand, so no worries.

Check out Calcite Mine trail when you get a chance as well.

Also, make sure you read the camping rules for that side of the park. It's a $4k fine if you're in a restricted area...

Here's a little camping trip my friends and I made a few weeks back in and around Red River Gorge, Ky.

Very cool, it would freak me out a little being under that big rock.
