We double checked and triple checked all lines, even replaced them all. Ran tests on all involved sensors, though there were no codes thrown. Fuel pressure is good, injectors are good, cat is not clogged, EGR is good, checked timing and even took the valve cover back off and checked the cams to make sure we didn't lay them a tooth off or anything. We've done everything we could think of short of throwing new parts at it (because I can't afford any more- I might have enough money to mount and balance my tires, buy my corner light, and fix my windshield- and that's it.
We have established that if you accelerate slowly or very quickly, it will not hesitate or stumble, but if you give it a medium/normal amount of pedal, say 50-75%, it will. It also gets better the longer you run it. Also, when we were testing the EGR, we noticed something. I would remove my finger from blocking the EGR, and of course, the truck would die. But upon starting up after doing this, the truck would behave very well for about 10-15 seconds before slipping back into its stumbling. We are stumped, and that's saying something, because my buddy has never been stumped by a vehicle, and he's been doing this about as long as I've been alive. We even took it back to Johnny Wallace, and he couldn't give us an answer. At this point, I'm just going to make it legal and see if the hesitation clears up as the gas runs through it. let it run a tank or two and see if that clears it up any.
Also, ever since I bought the truck, I have been finding dead Japanese beetles all through the truck. I've found like 30 of them, and they often show up in places where I know they weren't before. I think somehow, a colony of them are living somewhere in my truck, but I've never heard of this happening.
We also hammered out the bumper brackets for both the front and back, and slapped them back on. Looks good. Hopefully getting tires mounted and balanced tomorrow, and maybe will be able to take more pics.
Gotta get that tail pipe fixed.

Here's pictures from the other day. New tires (though you can't tell from the pics) and fresh windshield. Still has the 24-hour tape on in this pic. Cost me $181, including a $15 fee for them to come to the truck instead of us bring it to them. Took off the wipers to make it easier for the guy doing the install. He did a damned good job. Looks great.

    Oh, and CRAZY NEWS!
The hesitation/stumble has disappeared. We cleaned the MAF, which helped a small bit, but what really did it was when I filled the tank (premium, just to help the truck in its first few miles- my wallet is crying.) I guess putting more gas in it let the trash clear out. Any hesitation this joker once had is now gone. Stonewall purrs like a kitten. :D

Stonewall is still going strong- the hesitation hasn't shown itself again.
Looks like the work on the truck might have to stop here for a while- I have to put together some more money for corner lights, the tailpipe, registration, and inspection.

Figuring something like that, water and probably trash- I'm sure there was trash still in it (though we tried to clean it out) when I threw the first it of new gas in it.

    Stonewall Jackson the Yoto wins!

It's been a while since I've been able to do anything with the truck because of a list of things I have to do, pertaining both to it and my business. I started a lawn business when I lost my job, so I've had to buy equipment for my use, seeing as my family is particularly good at destroying things, thus making our home mower and other lawn care items unreliable. This is my list, in order:

    Already Purchased:
    Mower http://www.lowes.com/pd_317764-270-...0.245.53&currentURL=?Ntt=troybuilt+lawn+mower
    Weed Wacker http://www.homedepot.com/p/Ryobi-2-...ft-Gas-Trimmer-RY28020/100011692#.UZ-X3KLrzb8
    Broom
    Rake
Gas cans (5 gal. for mower, 1.5 gal for weed backer's 2-stroke mix)
Glasses (So I can actually drive! I've got a restriction on my license, have to wear glasses.)

    Still need to Purchase/do:
Renew License (expires on my 20th Birthday)
Get truck titled in my name
    Corner Light for Taco
    Materials to patch up tailpipe
    Windshield Wipers
    Battery Tie-down
    Put truck on Insurance Policy
    Registration
    Inspection
    Leaf Blower

Figured I would put my mowing stuff first, because I can't make the money to do the rest of this stuff without reliable equipment. Except the leaf blower, because I can do everything I need to do with a broom- leaf blower is just to make it easier.

After I've done all this stuff and the truck is fully on the road, I want to paint it. I'm thinking to rattle can it camo, and paint all of my trim and whatnot orange. Still going to do my wheels black with lugs the same green as the engine block, just because people will be like: Why are the lugs green? It doesn't match! And I can say: Doesn't match? Then look under the hood! BAM!
I also want to rip out the plastic bedliner crap and roll down my own, pretty much a mix of paint and sand.
I am also taking off the camper shell (at least for now) and hopefully throwing in a tool box- one of my lawn customers has a toolbox from his old '85 Ranger that he said I can have if it will fit my truck.
Also going to throw in a sound system- my buddy has all I need, just gotta pay him for the stuff and install it.

Brought Stonewall Jackson to my house two nights ago, since I have it tagged and everything now. Just gotta get inspected, so I'm parking nose to the house so Johnny doesn't see the lack of a sticker. Just gotta weld the hole in the tailpipe, fab a battery tiedown, get windshield wipers, and get the corner light.

And gave Stonewall a bath yesterday. Full scrub-down, vacuuming inside, finally threw out all (well, most of) the old owner's stuff that was still inside.

And dude, the camper shell expecially is ten times brighter after the bath. When I was scrubbing it, you could see where I had scrubbed and where I hadn't- where I hadn't gotten yet was covered in the little black/green mold dot crap.

    Stonewall is happy happy happy!

Took off the camper shell and gave the Yoto another bath, since there was new area to clean with the shell being off. The gasket that sits between the truck and the shell rotted onto the truck, so I had to get a scraper and scrape that crap off.

Corner light came in today, but it won't fit in right because my truck has been in an accident or two that fucked up that corner of the truck. (Why the light was busted in the first place.)
