Do you have better pictures and details on your grill? You can PM me if you like.

More and more I am thinking about trying the wheels and lower valance. Besides being clean and taping it off what did you need to do for the valence?

Grill is just a Satoshi that I made. Color matched the stock emblem and picked up the TRD emblem on ebay. Stock tabs keep the logo emblem on and a discreet zip tie keeps the TRD on.

As far as the valence, just cleaned really well and taped it off. Had a little problem with tearing the edges when I removed the tape. I tried the toothpick method but it wasn't scoring the plasti dip enough. Gently used a razor instead, wasn't worried too much since the break line is in the natural crease of the bumper.

I just sprayed my stock grille emblem with matte black and have yet to put it back on my truck. I love how easy plasti dip has been to work with...definitely easier to work with than paint and so much more forgiving! I'll get more pics up when i get it back on the truck. PS i left the plast dip thinner to make it have a faded effect around the sides of the center as yo may be able to see in the picture.

Do 4 nice and heavy coats on the bumper. I did mine a year ago and its survived a few off road trips and a good bit of road mileage. It does have some areas that are peeling a bit, from being drug on the ground.

JohnnyWayne, do you think the plast dip will hold up on those wheel? I've been skeptical of it on wheels and have been looking for a place to powder coat them for a reasonable price. Hope they last for you man. They look beautiful and so does the truck.

I dipped my winter wheels in the fall and they've held up great. This is how they look after 5 months of snow, salt, gravel and about 4 pressure washes.

I had Plasti Dipped my stock TRD wheels to check what black would look like on my truck. I was surprised at how well it held up for a few months. I ultimately ended up taking the plasti dip off and selling the wheels.

Cleaning them became a PITA for me as I had lightly coated the inside of the wheel to hide the metal somewhat. Don't do that, or if you do, use plenty of coats as you would on the outside of the wheel. It's easy to remove if it is solid with good multiple coats but, thin...let's just say I made a mess with brake cleaner in the driveway. Never again.

I just used some today... after welding up a couple gnarly grass spewing cracks in the neighbors lawn mower deck. I didn't have any rattle can paint other than blue, so the black Plasti-dip-derped it right dandy nice. WTH I say, as long as it keeps the rust away.
