I got a quote from my local performance shop for this exhaust for my 2013 taco double cab.

$490 for this. Good price or no?

I would just get them to weld on a magnaflow muffler instead of the whole system

Its essentially the same thing and a hell of a lot cheaper. Exhaust on these trucks don't really give you any power benefits so if sound is what you're looking for, a magnaflow muffler will give you the same result as an entire cat back system, and it will save you a couple hundred bucks probably

I got my magnaflow cat-back on my old truck from eBay for $360 shipped to my door. My last truck was a 2006 x-runner.

I second this suggestion... because I did exactly that. :)

Magnaflow 18" muffler off of ebay: $83, free shipping, and no sales tax.

    Installation at muffler shop: $45

Sounds every bit as nice as an expensive Magnaflow exhaust, because it's the muffler that makes the sound. ;)
