TRD Supercharger Boost

Hi folks,
I've been trying to find out how much boost is my TRD Supercharger supposed to provide, since I'm installing a boost gauge and a URD pulley, I need to know where it started before the new pulley

 

stock pulley should be about 5-6psi, with the pulley (assuming the 2.8) you should see 7-8psi

 

Not sure. Just put the gauge on first then check it. After you get your baseline you can put the pulley on.

Does anybody know if there are URD 2.8" pulley installation instructions with pics somewhere in this forum?

 

There is one here but there is a more detailed version on XRU, it's fairly simple as long as you have the right tools.

 

I already have the URD installation tool, but their instructions are far from clear

 

I've thought of putting a boost gauge on but haven't done so yet and I can't wait to hear what you have to say after the 2.8 URD pulley install.

I just got another URD pulley and the install tool and they had a nice packet of instructions complete with pictures and everything all in color but it was with the pulley. Not sure if these were what you got with your install kit but I felt like they were quite clear and concise. I haven't done the install yet so I may change my tune once I start the install but I read through all the instructions I I felt like they covered most things pretty well and feel pretty confident my install will go fine.

 

Pelase keep me informed, as I'm trying to find a Good place to put the gauge first. I'd really appreciate it,if you could scan and post the instructions.

I've just finished installing the boost gauge, with a little help from a post made in other forum, it was not that hard.

I bought this Autometer Phantom vacum/boost gauge



I'm also changing the LED's of my instrument cluster, hope I can get it done tomorrow, as well as the URD Pulley, without it my gauge reads 4-4.5 psi at full boost, and 10 inHg at idle.

Tomorrow I'll post more pics and share if I can feel the difference

Did you get the pulley second hand or something?

When you order the 2.8 pulley from URD there should have been instructions that came with it lol

Gotta mention I've got a set of instructions as well

 

It's right from URD, but it came with just two pages of instructions

 

Okay so you did get the instructions from URD? the sentence I quoted from you was saying you didn't have any and you were asking for a scanned copy? lol

Or where you just wondering if there was something on the forums?

 

I got them, but it seems to me that they're incomplete, it tells you how to take out the old pulley and finishes dipping it into hot water. It never tells you how to use the special tool provided , so I wanted to know if there was something around here.

YES!! highly suggest you do that! makes it much easier to press it on since it will start to get tight once it starts to cool. Just keep pressing until its flush and your good to go.

I would well imagine it would be close to impossible to press it on without some heat
