Ya, the bent axle I pulled today is not looking good at all, can't get the shaft out that had the hub snap off. It spins drive shaft flange but absoluy will not pry out of there. Plans a b and c have now failed. Can't say I didn't try and prepare....

Well hopefully I can get te full front to back wiring for cheap, so there might be hope yet, but i am still out a third...keep searching I guess. Or get an eaton like u guys said, cuz I really want a locker, but I really want to avoid a lunchbox. I find it hard to believe all of my prospects for this thing flopped.

Brant told me about it once but I don't remember exactly but Brant did a manual hub conversion on his 1st gen and you have to go to a smaller spline/shaft on the hub side of the cv (or something like that) and he always snapped the shafts right there. I think he went through more cv's than Konsta does from the sound of it.

That Solo kits uses hubs from a Dana 44 I think so they are supposed to be even stronger than the OEM setup. They also use a cv setup that is supposed to have lots of aftermarket support I guess.

A dana 44 is supposed to be about the same strength as the Toyota 8" and we have a local guy who wheels the shit out of his rig and it has 40's on toyota 8" axles front and rear. Only shaft I know of him breaking was when he got his whole tire lodged in a crack and that is just a bad day... haha

 

the solo kit has really made me reconsider LT, ugh

ive been dead set against the Allpoo for a while, but the Solo kit looks amazing, the price is amazing too
