There should be six bolts on the bell housing not including the 2 starter bolts. Four of them you can see, the top two you can only feel and it is not easy to get your hand in there. The only way to get them loose is to take the shifters out of the transmission and t-case and then use a bunch of extensions to go through the shifter hole in the cab all the way to the bolts.

It does feel tighter turning but for some odd reason my steering wheel is off center now. I'll get an alignment soon to correct that. I never got one after my 2" lift anyway.

I had the truck on a hoist when I installed them so it wasn't super hard. I can see why it would be hard laying on your back on the ground though.

That's not correct. Every Moog part I've installed has been made in either Japan or the US. 555 is Moog's source for most of the Tacoma suspension pieces and they're a well known and respected Japanese OEM and aftermarket supplier.

Doesn't prove quality. When I was at car quest we pulled all moog off the shelf because of quality issues. Raybestos replaced them, far superior quality. The boots on the MOOGS slip off and tear easily also.

Tried that with new outer tie rods last Fall. I hammered it for 3 hours and it didn't budge. Finally rented to kit from autozone. Plus the puller took 3 minutes to be done with it.

What were you hitting? Were you smacking the ball joint where the tie rod sits in it?
