Yea some Variations of the OEM stuff never is. Haha I suppose thats why the aftermarket sector even exists.

I'll leave my suspension as is for now. Only rubbed snow once or twice last winter, plus I've got a whole bunch of under carriage protective plastic. I dont think it can take too much abuse but should be strong enough to keep leveling snow banks
Haha I figured as such :p

So, my initial reaction towards the Agency pulley. I'm loving it. Everything feels more spirited throught the drivetrain, the dropping in power band is the best part. The car has enough power now I can take off from the absolute tiniest bit of gas so damn near impossible to stall.

    Worth the $$.

I'm going to put the lightweight flywheel idea on the bench for now. While it would be a nice freed power boost, I've found there are some side-effects/ disadvantages that I want to avoid in a daily driver-esk type vehicle. Maybe a mid-weight flywheel one day, who knows. But for now I don't have any desire to drop the transmission and deal with it.

Just searched up this ATI super damper crank pulley you mentioned. I'm not so sure it solves the problem I'm refering too.

People are reporting rapid acceleration and deceleration due too the lighter 9~ Ibs lightweight over the 17~ Ibs stock flywheel. Making it annoyingly super touchy. I think that would bother the piss out of me. The mid-weight version which is 12~ Ibs supposedly people are finding it much more reasonable for daily driving.

Unfortunately no. I thought it was just a tire drive over. Didn't notice any damage till I stopped for gas an hour and a half later.. :(

Inspired by TORSPD's weight reduction counting a little while ago. I started up a counter of my own.

Finally got around to weighing some more parts. The Dezod performance header that I bought weighs approx. 12 Ibs. The original header, extra brackets, & sound/heat proofing plates all together weighs 20. So a confirmed shed of 8 more pounds!

    Bit by bit.. haha

After a lot of extra research on the subject, I have decided to hold off on the lightweight flywheel for now. The extra touchiness/responsiveness of going even lighter on the crank then I already have seems to be met with mixed reviews, a fair amount of people finding it far too touchy.

Personally, the added responsiveness of my new pulley is amazing, but I don't think I'd want it any more then it already is. Also, not keen on spending money on an upgrade I'm not sure I'll like.

Research on other efficiency mods is in full swing, got some interesting/crazy ideas I can't wait to try. Stay tuned for more Dinosaurus insanity..

Also, I found the actual Toyota tech service manual (at least, the engine section so far) goes over all the tech & 'Need to know' things about my engine.

I'm still looking for the electrical system section, the two most important. :woot:

That isn't a prototype per se. You can buy it from select Scion dealers for the price of an FR-S... if you buy two.

Haha ahh yes I'm aware of that. The high pricing is a litigation issue. Once the cars are open for forced injection from toyota and suberu next year then everything will change.
