    Thanks Craig, I was eyeballin yours at the meet. If I had q bumper like that, I'd probably go that route.

    Hard mount into roof. The pro way. Yields the best ground plane, best radio performance by using the sheet metal of the cab as your ground plane. Nothing else will perform this well, but nothing else will catch as many tree branches either. The antenna flexes fine, so branches aren't a worry, but it does make a racket.

    Some bilsteins, OME 885's, and an AAL.
    I've used both the relentless mount, and the famous Fab mount for the tail gate. They both perform decent but I perfer the tailgate mount. And since I got a camper top I was limited.
    I'll grab some pictures to post up here in a little while.

    Thanks, I'm pretty sure I don't want a roof mount. #1 I'm deathly afraid of putting a hole in the roof of my truck. #2 I don't want something I can't reverse, if I have too. Hence why I really like these brackets that use the stock holes.

    Hole's no big deal. Drill, seal, use the Wilson kit and voila.

    Not reversible without paying a body guy though.

    this is the tailgate mount. i just made mine myself and cost about $3 for the material. 1/8" x 1" flat bar.

    No worries! The Lil' Wil is magnetic, meaning you can take it off and put it back on. I keep my antenna in my backseat, and place it on the roof when offroading. :)

    Nice job, you have to heat it up to twist it like that? Looks very similar to the Famous Fab one which I like too.
    True, I definitely thought about a magnetic mount.
