I would love to hit peacock flats! What do you need to get up there? I'm down for sure as long as I don't have to work that weekend.

Thanks for the tips! I've also heard great things about the General Grabber AT2s, Its cool to talk to someone whos actually using them. Did you get them locally if so from who? They look kinda like the BFG KOs which I like the look of.

I'll have to consider the GG AT2's as well.

EDIT: quick google shows that the GG AT2s arent avail in a non D/E Range in 275/65/18 hmmmm

EDIT2: seems there is one model that doesnt say E Load Range but it doesnt say C either.

I was referring more towards permits need to get up there. Some good friends told me that a stock taco 4x4 with better tires can make it up there.

To all the peacock stuff ......

Yes a permit is required. You can not just show and think you are going to get in. It is gov/dod land, our Mil IDs are not good enough to get us in. 5 Trucks/SUVs can be put on each permit.
    http://www.state.hi.us/dlnr/dofaw/pubs/Application_to_Hike_Kuaokala_Schofield Waikane.pdf
"All vehicles must be street legal with current registration, safety check and current insurance. You may be asked to show these documents at the gate prior to entry. Vehicles going on dirt areas via Kuaokala Road to Peacock Flats must be four-wheel drive."

For the videos, I have seen some videos that look very crazy and others take make it all look very tame. It all depends on the line you take, and from what I have seen/heard everything has a bypass. I would love to go, I'll be the guy in the JKU top down / doors off. :-D Though my parents just decided last week they are coming to visit 2 - 11 So I'm out during that time, unless my dad wants to go the 8/9th. I think they dont come in till 1600 or so on Sunday so Saturday or Sunday 1/2 June would be great. I have duty on Saturday the 15th. I would say start a thread in the next couple days with Voting of what day works best.

    Thanks
They are much quieter than I would have ever thought
I was impatient and did not want to wait to order them or book a day to have installed so I payed more from Maui off road. I was in and out in about an hour but I payed the price for that at the tune of $295 a tire!

I think Tirerack.com said that they where 50lbs
X2 I am down for a camping trip with the bunny slopes![IMG]

I'm actually getting ready to be stationed out on Oahu. I will be there by the end of the month. I recently purchased a 2013 Tacoma 4x4 Sport. I know a few people on the island but I am looking to meet people outside of work and I also want to have fun with my truck. I also don't know the island well enough to know the best spots to go driving.

I'm looking forward to being out there soon.

What's up guys! I get one question I like put 20x12s underneath my 2012 taco db wheelbase, would it stick out a lot? Haha I know it's a dumb question but I'd figure I ask. If not I'm getting 20x10s

What size tire 285/75/16 KM2? Paid $190 a tire at the end of the year sale at 4wheel parts. Truck looking good.
