    My yard is not that big and I fertilize 3 times a year and use a pre emergent once a year plus $75 for seed. Probably only spend around $200 total for the year.

    We are starting in Rome then on to Florence and finishing up with Venice. Spending 3 nights in each city to give us some time to relax and enjoy the city. Taking a train between the cities which should be an adventure in itself.

    We will be doing this on our own and not part of a tour group. We think it will be easier and more enjoyable for the three of us doing it at our own pace.

    Me, either. It makes the dog look tougher, I think. I just prefer real ears. I wouldn't want 2/3's of my ear cut off.

    ahh...if there was some medical benefit to it I can understand it but if not then its just cruel

    ahhh...hitting all of the touristy places. If I ever make it over there I'm sticking to the smaller towns and hopefully avoiding the crowds. And the Dolomites, gotta go there.

    We are not heading to northern Italy. Maybe in a few years or so. I think next years trip may be the Pacific Coast Highway.

    Dobermans they do the ear cropping for their own good. If they aren't cropped they can develop a severe ear growth/infection. My dog (min pin) didn't have his ears cropped and has the infection. Its not guaranteed but it still could happen. I have two min pins, a boy and a girl. Boots, the boy, has a short tail but long ears and Katie, the girl, has a long tail but short ears
