so bad ass!!!! I troubleshot a wave pool built in the 1960's, all the relays and ground faults, it was SOOOO mcuh fun

really makes you think about how electronics have made things easier or is it more complicated!!!

Old school timers, old school relays, old school limit switches, old school everything!!! I was so glad to be a part of it, my next step is repairing an old school pinball machine!!! its my hobby outside of work and trucks

i unfortunately dont have time for it :(

Ya it does make for an interesting day. Each tab is a relay or timer.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
Try working on a 1950's aircraft. It's all about the same and it is awesome. Actually lets you be an electrician vs a box swapper.

Here is a newer control panel as you can see much nicer. Plus lighting is better in mechanical space and it is not covered in carbon dust

yup, the shitty part is, if one relay is toast it becomes difficult troubleshooting, so you have to jumper one at a time to continue the loop and find out which one is the problem, can sometimes take days

took my 14 nights at the pool working 6 hours just to recondition everything and replace like with like. luckily they had spare sparts as relays from the 1960's arent so compatible with new ones :p

thats the worse..... same color wire going everywhere with tags that dont exist, it does make you appreciate what the original electricians they were on a job from start to finish, as no one could take over them..... but than came the problem of troubleshooting

my biggest thing at the pool was to replace all the wiring, one at time, color code it and wire tags

have you seen the inside of old school pinball machines!!! those things are absolutely insane, there is a reason when you refurb one, the costs are 10K+ before paint
