I'm running the AFE Pro-Dry. I don't know if there's any real performance gained...but that's not why I bought one anyway. For the cost of couple of decent paper filters, I've got one that will last the life of the truck. Plus, there's no messy oil to worry about....or oily MAFs either.

I have a K&N drop in. Not sure of any mileage change since I got the filter right after I got the truck. I just recharged (cleaned/oiled) the filter yesterday as well as cleaned the MAF. I will say my MAF looked perfectly clean, so I can't say the K&N is fouling up my MAF at all. I am thinking about maybe going to a aFe Pro Dry S. It would be nice to just have to use soap and water to clean the filter.

It just depends on how much oil you use when recharging it. I ran a TRD filter in my wife's Sienna for a couple of years. I did notice the MAF was a little black (with the factory oil job). I cleaned it and also cleaned and recharged the filter. After the 6 months the MAF looked even worse...despite using what I thought was a small amount of oil. I finally took it out and started running paper filters in it again and the MAF has been spotless now for the last 2 years. If AEM or AFE will make a Dry filter for the 3MZ V6 I'd buy one in a heart beat. But until then, I'll stick with paper in the Sienna.

Yep...I've got an '09 with the 2.7 and I bought an "08" filter.

Purolator showed the same air filter part # for both the '08 and the '09. So I figured if they show them as the same filter everyone elses would be too....and they are....even though AFE dosen't actually list a # for the '09 yet.

I bought mine from AutoAnything for about $35 shipped.

Well I ended up ditching the K&N and went ahead with a aFe Pro Dry S. The build quality seems to be the same minus the oiled pleats.

Sport wheels added.
    1. Any horsepower gain? How much? (Ex. +10hp)
    2. Any MPG gain? How much? (Ex. +2mpg from 20mpg)
    3. Any trouble with oil on MAF sensor?

    AFE Prodry filter
    1) My 2.7L picked up approx 42.2624 HP:D Hey, the butt dyno don't lie.
    2) Tough to tell if I picked up any mpg...my driving varies and I get about the same, but it for sure did not lose any.
    3) DRY filter, so no oil on MAF sensor. But it sounds oh so cool. It wow's the ladies...:p

I did it again. Got tired of paying truck payments and gas and traded in for a 2015 Honda Accord Sport since I enjoyed my 2013 Sport so much.
Pro Dry; when it was first installed I noticed that the throttle was a but more responsive.

Not sure about the 4.0 L. The best thing to do is to go to Purolator's website and see if they list the same part # for the '08 and '09. If they do, then it's a safe bet that all other "08" filters will fit the '09. As I mentioned, that's what I did with my '09 2.7.

EDIT: I did the footwork for you. Purolator lists the same air filter for the '08 and '09. So, I'm sure the '08 AFE will work for the '09 4.0L.

    2) Couldn't tell you. Had it put on before I took delivery.
    3) Not so far.
