That price is very high. Mom's in Foxboro offered me 3500 for mine. It was a 2006 with akrapovic bolt ons and a ton of other mods with only 12k on the clock.

 

My thoughts exactly. $4,500 with that kind of mileage doesn't sound like a deal to me...

I do the same thing in any congested area. I always keep it a gear down for a couple reasons, first it's loud (Yoshimura pipe, not as lout as 2 Brothers but it makes some noise) and second when you let off the throttle it slows quicker.

 

They probably slapped a $6k price tag on it. That place always seems way overpriced.

 

This is sound advice.

 

The only people who care about motorcycles are other motorcyclists, people who know bikers, and the very few of us left who pay attention and actually drive while we're driving.

 

Just drive down the road and count how many people are on phone or texting or just not paying attention

 

I will say riding has made me much more aware of my surroundings (even when driving the truck or walking on the road).

 

I can image how it must be for you motorcycle guys. I used to have a yellow Fiero, which apparently is invisible in traffic. I try not to be one of those people paying attention to other things besides traffic.
