Hey all. Can't say I'm an owner just yet but I test drove a 2013 model yesterday and may be soon. Actually I've been looking for a good used Tacoma for weeks now and seeing the prices of used, I'm almost convinced a little extra for new makes more sense. I will probably decide tomorrow. Heres a phone pic of the one I like, base model SR5 dbl cab 4x4 SB w/ dealer installed 3" lift and aftermarket, over sized wheels/tires. They want 31K @ the dealer.

    Cheers, Goosedog

Thanks for the welcome and I'm also considering an '08 DCLB TLD Sport w/ 108K miles for $20K. Any reason I should avoid that year or price?

I was lookin at used too, but more around 30k miles. So it wasn't a hard decision for me to go new. Spent an hour or two haggling w/ the dealer to get em down a few grand. Worth it! Either way you will be stoked!

Well the hard cold hand of reality slapped my face out of the new truck stupor and I've had fun the last couple weeks looking for a
    good used Taco instead.

Craigslist and Ebay got moved up to my favorites bar due to constant use.

And then today I found this on a local car lot.....

2006 SR5 Access cab 4x4 5 speed manual 4cyl. 104K miles. Local/one owner. Squeaky clean Carfax. Completely stock except wheels.

    Out the door $15,200.

Yep... I'm all too familiar with the mod monster in me, cost me plenty with past toys.

I figure I did pretty good tho, $1000 less than NADA and from a dealer too.
