I'll burn the ones that wander too far :stirthepot:

I've sprayed bug killer in my neighbors house to mine before and they're back, a good 60 foot trail of ants that is going to die soon.

Nothing, they are coming out the door, the little holes about 6-8" back from your hand.

Nothing in the truck, still nothing under the seat, no food, just the door and door sill

Look out for snakes in the grass guerrilla marketing.
I have to park under some kind of oak tree outside that constantly drops sh*t, ants included - was seeing alot of ants and they finally made it inside - used some ortho ant baits (liquid) for a couple of days and they dried up and got gone - put one in the bed (it's covered with an undercover) and one in the cab

Sounds like they made their nest in there. See even ants know a good truck when they see one...

I wonder if you can pop out those drain plugs and put some ant killer in the door cavity

What kind of ants, are they fire ants or common black ones? Has the truck been parked in an area where there was a long flooding rain or anything? For example, the entire area completely under water several inches for hours.

That's happened before in a section of my back yard due to a local flooding problem. That section was one of my fire ant problem areas too. But the flood drowned most of them off for several years after that.

Except for the one queen ant that happened to float over and escape into my pop-up camper sitting there. And apparently she did not want to return to the dirt so she started the new nest right in the bed corner inside the camper. She had all the workers bring the dirt up to her.

These are just the little black ants.
As I said I park on concrete, no standing water.
We have had rain and lots of it but this has been on going in the door like sonething they are after.

Wonder of some guy on the line put his lunch inside the door....

There are no plugs just the holes in the bottom of the door.
They are open and about 1/8" to 1/4" dia.

You're right , I was thinking about the ones just under the door on the cab

Worst case scenario you could remove the inner door panel like you would for a speaker installation

Then go get a can of Bengal roach/ant spray at any store. It is a little pricey ($10 or so a can) but it works the best out of all the supermarket shelf products. It has a straw attachment and it is kind of a dry powdery spray with no lingering odor of any kind.

Spray that in the holes and I will buy lunch if they come back in there this year anytime.

They have a colony in your door. Take the panel off and clean it out. Problem solved.
