Totally just pulled off a covert summer salt/tumble while breaking into Sarah's house with her to get her clothes, books, and such. I could totally be James Bond

    I enjoy doing covert ops

I agree, it would be a better way to do it, but for $500 they can go pound sand! I can recoat a set of sliders a LOT of times for $500

Those are similar to what I have in my Mazda. They sound awesome. I have 5030s in the front and 6830s in the back.

My tacoma has infinity kappa 693.9 in the front and reference 6022 in the back.

I have been reading up in the Audio section and alot of guys feel with the access cab you dont need rear speakers but I will wait and see. This will be a stereo build in progress, I cant afford to buy all at once

I was actually just thinking... 6.5" components up front, 6.5" subs in the rear. I've also heard you could have just front speakers and never know the rear was missing. So instead of having subs taking up space in the cab, why not 6.5" subs in the rear doors?

I have always changed out the stock speakers and head unit but I have never done a sub or an amp so that is all new to me

I cheaped out on my rear speakers as compared to the front. I dont think the 6.5 subs hit hard enough to justify going with them over a regular speaker.

I've always ran an aftermarket head unit, and have done subs a couple times, but never bothered to switch factory speakers. Usually the new head unit can get some decent sound out of stock speakers. This time I'm looking for speakers that can handle more, especially the lower frequencies.

You would be amazed a the difference. Our stock speakers have a very small magnet on them. It looks like 3 or 4 quarters stacked up.

I don't know what Toyota normally uses, but my previous GM vehicles, even with the "better" sounds systems, only had 25w 6x9's.
