I really like the way your truck looks, Steve, thanks for the input. Did you also go with new front coils to level it out?

OME 881's up front, rides like a rock with the 5100's. I'd go with the OME shocks if I did it again.

Keep in mind Greg that you'll get an additional 1/2" of lift up front and rear due to the single cab 4 cylinder. Then you'll be required to run 35's at a minimum:D

09tacorunner no lift or anything just stock. I'm not sure about tires at the moment . Both sets of rims come with tires so I guess what ever comes on them.

99taco27505 do you have to regear to accept 17x9 or is this your preference to do so

you only need to regear when you go to a bigger tire for example a 35" tire... regearing somewhat helps restore lost power. the bigger tire like a 35 will be heavier thus needing to be regeard

Rim size has nothing to do with regearing. Regearing is based on going up in tire size.

It isn't so much the weight difference as it is putting the engine RPMs behind the power curve. You start making 1st gear look like 2nd gear, 2nd gear look like 3rd, etc. Facing a steeper gear requires more power to get up to speed.

Yar but you're right, the weight does play into it a bit as well.

Tom and Jason pretty much said what my reply would've been.

That and I have this huge heavy thing hanging under my engine/frame. (Solid axle )

Just got an invoice in my email from East Coast Gear Supply.

Tracking number isn't active yet so no clue when delivery will take place.
