Tire Question - Firestone Destination M/T

Hey guys, I own a stock 2007 Sport 4x4. I do a fair amount of hunting and riding around farms. I also do a fair share of getting stuck unfortunately. I ride 75% on the road but want a good off-road tire that I can count on. I'm fixing to get rid of the stock tires and buy the Firestone Destination M/T. A friend of mine has them on his Avalanche and I've seen what they can do and really like the tire. But just wondering, what size will work for my truck and have no rubbing or anything, it's stock . . .

265/70/R17 ?

will 275's work?

no 265\70-17 is the biggest with no rubbing!

 

So if I put a set of 265/70/R17 Firestone Destination M/Ts on I shouldn't have any rubbing or any problems?

Is there anything else I need to do? I'm seriously an amateur at this, I've never really bought an aggressive tire before. I know I need to take it to the alignment shop before hand but other than that anything else I need to do?

You can use the 275's as well with minimal rubbing. If you add 1/4" spacers to the front wheels, you'll be just fine with 275's

 

So if I add 1/4" spacers I shouldn't have rubbing, or will it rub either way (spacers or no spacers)?
