Where in Denville? I could probably use an alignment after I replace my UCA bushings.

Gotcha. I only say that because a shop in Hackettstown does them for $59.95 that I've been going to for alignments since I got my lift.

    What haven’t I changed?
Is 66 miles too far to drive for an alignment right after getting a lift installed or should I just do it some place local? I'm planning on buying the OME complete kit and hopefully having it installed next month, but Dave's shop is a bit of a drive. Plus I had a bad experience with a lift on my previous truck so I'm trying to learn something from that.

I drive 66 miles to get my alignments done there no matter how bad I need one. I was just there this past Saturday :D

And I could give you a hand with the install if you want

That's fine, but I just don't want any of the lift bits shaking loose on my way up there...that's sorta what happened to my old truck...

You still down with helping me with the install though? I'll bring pizza and beer. And not the cheap stuff either for us classy gents

Holy shit what happened!!?? That's much more than an alignment issue lol

Yea depending on when you want to do the install ill be able to help you out. I'll be busy the next couple weekends working on my truck, then ill be on a road trip for 10 days, but ill be back in town the first week of June.

The guy who installed the lift didn't check the torque on the U-bolts, so they just worked themselves loose after a couple of weeks. I was about to make the turn into my neighborhood when the rear axle decided to come loose, turn my truck 180-degrees in the opposite direction, and then roll over onto the passenger side. Fortunately my insurance covered everything and my sister (also my attorney) was in the car at the time so I got a pretty big check to put toward another truck.

And fyi, you're supposed to retorque u-bolts after a short drive, then again after a bit. And yes, you really need to do this, I've had them need a couple more turns when I checked.

Yeah, I didn't know this at the time and the guy at the shop didn't say anything about it either. This is why I'm a little nervous about driving 66 miles for an alignment soon after a lift is put on.
